Hello,

I would like to know if I install Office 2010 (license that I retrieved from one of my PCs whose hard drive crashed) on my Windows 7 PC, will it automatically pick up all my emails that I have in Office 2007 as well as the SMTP account settings?

Thank you for your response, I don't want to lose all my emails.

Hello,
What is certain is that you will never lose your emails since they are not stored on Outlook but on a webmail. As for this migration from 2007 to 2010, it seems to me that Microsoft considers it an installation rather than an upgrade. I therefore think that you'll need to reconfigure Outlook and set up your email again... It's quick to do.
Good luck

Thank you very much for this super quick and precise response.
If I understood correctly, that means I will have two Office versions on my PC as long as I haven't uninstalled the 2007 version?

No, it seems to me that the 2010 installer will prevent you from installing 2010 without uninstalling 2007 first, or else it will overwrite the 2007 data to install 2010.
