Unable to connect my iPhone to my Mac!

Hello everyone,

I have had an iPhone 5s for 2 years now, and I have always connected it to my MacBook Air (Mac OS X 10.6.8 (10K549) / Kernel version: Darwin 10.8.0).
However, for the past few weeks, I've been encountering some issues when trying to connect it to iTunes iTunes and iPhoto.

The following two messages appear:
- iTunes "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because it received an invalid response from the device."

- iPhoto "the photos in the iPhone's camera roll cannot be viewed or imported because the iPhone is locked with a code. You must enter your code on the iPhone to view and import them."

For iTunes, my phone is not recognized and does not appear. For iPhoto, it does appear but asks for a code even though the code is disabled, so I cannot offload my photos or synchronize my phone, which is problematic because the storage is full.

I have already searched for available updates for my iPhone and Mac, but they are both on the latest version...

I don't know what to do anymore, and that's why I'm asking for your help,

Thank you in advance for your valuable advice.

    Good evening Clairou,

Can you go to your iPhone, then Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy?

Then reconnect your iPhone and let me know if it works :-)

    I'll be around ...

Thank you so much Cpt-N3mo for your help, however only part of my problem has been solved!

I was finally able to transfer my photos to my Mac but I still can’t access iTunes, do you have a solution to propose?

In any case, thanks again for the speed and efficiency of your response!

You should migrate to a newer OS X, yes... you're on Snow Leopard, you can upgrade to Mavericks with your MBA :-)
