Memory Module Consumption

Pluzin, I validate the statement.
I stopped at "Quintuple Boot" after reading the message and am I the only one who's shocked by that?! oO ^_^

The RAM modules are not the most power-hungry in history at all. I can even go so far as to say that a mouse or a USB 2.0 flash drive consumes more or at least as much as a RAM module.
I stand by my point, it's negligible.

After that, I just looked it up online, some people can indeed reduce the power consumption of a laptop, back in the Centrino days (2005, that's not too long ago either). One mentions 13W. By playing with the screen brightness. Lowering it to the minimum. But never by removing a RAM module :-D

I don't think it's that big; the battery has dimensions of about 30cm*5cm*1.5cm, and I find that it doesn't take up much space after all ^^ and the 40Wh is proportionate to my PC's consumption (by the way, when I mention a loss of 10Wh in an hour, it was only when I was using a simple C editor). But yes, the i7 is quite energy-consuming in your case ^^

You are lucky to have a laptop that consumes so little; still, it’s not a big deal to leave it plugged in constantly without the battery.
But if you want to take it with you, you can, I can’t, unless I have an outlet nearby ;)
Plus, at 4 kg on the scale, it’s better on the desk.

As I always say, a powerful laptop is great when you think of it as a desktop; if it’s going to be moved all the time, you might as well not buy it ^^

In my case, I don't necessarily have a power outlet nearby, so battery life is very important to me :) But as you said, it all depends on usage. Personally, I can't really see myself buying a laptop just for it to stay stationary ^^'
