Hello
I just bought an Alcatel F330-S Duo phone. Yesterday, I received a call, the phone wouldn’t turn on so I couldn’t see who was calling, I removed it from the base without answering, and talked to the person who was with me. Later, I called my contact back who said he heard what I said. I would like to know how to prevent this from happening again. The user manual doesn’t mention this. Thank you.

Hello
The F330-s manual does not address the subject, here is the procedure described on page 26 of the F330 manual
The manual: https://www.alcatel-home.com/sites/default/files/product/642/files/alcatel-phone-f330-voice-mode-emploi-complet-fr.pdf

Very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there...

Hello,
Here is what is stated in the manual:
This means that the automatic answer function can be activated or NOT... in the latter case, to take the line, you must press the line-answer button (key 10) and vice versa for the hang-up button.
So in "automatic answer," you just need to pick up the handset and the "answering" happens automatically...
If the handset is not placed (or poorly placed) on its base, the caller continues to hear everything around...
In short, it is better to disable the automatic answering to encourage action on the buttons that answer and hang up...

If the handset is placed on the charger or on the base, while the automatic answer function is activated: as soon as the phone rings, pick up the handset to take the call.
