How to combine satellite and DTT

If a splitter is used to distribute satellite TV to => 2 mixed TV outlets, be careful of conflicts between channels with incompatible parameters; this is the case for TNTsat or Canalsat packages, Orange TV... via Astra 1

For collective domestic satellite antennas (i.e., single-family homes), a head with 2, 4, or 8 outputs is used if only one satellite is distributed. If using a dual-satellite setup, Astra Hot-Bird, the "monobloc" heads only have 4 outputs, thus allowing for 4 TV outlets

To distribute TNT => 2 outputs, the splitter (or amplifier-splitter distributor) is the perfect choice.

Be aware that issues due to switching on/off can arise (especially if a mast preamplifier is powered from a living room other than at 12V) if using a single coaxial cable descent...

To distribute both TNT + SAT (multi-sat) in accordance with standards, the technical ideal is the multi-distributor (integrated combined functions, coupler (TER (VHF-UHF) / SAT), amplifier, DiSEqC switch, power supply) generally available from 4 mixed outputs (also available in 8 or 12 outputs...)
