Philips 26PF5321/12 TV Menu Access

Hello,

I can no longer access the menu on my TV or change the source to switch to HDMI.

However, my remote control works fine; I can do P+/P-, ... but when I press the Menu button, the TV's indicator light blinks, but nothing happens.

I contacted Philips Support and all they told me was to buy a new TV.

I tried unplugging it for a while, holding the menu button for 10/15 seconds to reset to factory settings, but it didn't work.

I am aware that my model is quite old, but I would like to find a way to switch to HDMI.

If you could help me, I would be grateful.

Best regards.

    Hello
this response is unacceptable from Philips..
however, it is true that since this TV lacks a digital tuner, you need to use a MPEG-4 type TNT decoder
you should connect it via HDMI to the TV, and use the menu of this decoder to display on the TV
    this should happen "normally" automatically
otherwise, I don't know if there is a trapdoor or buttons on the front of this model to access the TV functions (outside the remote control)
in that case, it seems that considering the purchase of a more recent television might be a solution.. which would also provide you with superior connectivity, especially if you opt for a smart TV
ps: Samsung makes very nice TVs.. beautiful picture
but I advise you to call Philips again and hope to reach another "technician"..

      Thank you for your response,

I have TNT through my Freebox but I can no longer access it as I can't switch to HDMI

There is indeed a menu button on the TV but it doesn't work any better than the one on the remote control.

I can access the PIP function: Picture in Picture (http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/2/26pf5321_10/26pf5321_10_dfu_fra.pdf page 10)

Where I can see my HDMI image displayed, does anyone know how to switch to this HDMI image from there?

    Thank you

How about removing the first image?
It also depends on the functions of the remote control (which vary according to the model of the box); not everything is possible. I think you still need to interact with the TV itself, usually using one of the buttons on the front panel (there’s generally a red power button) P+ and P-
but also the menu that you'll need to find... then look for the sub-menu source or factory reset
    otherwise, I don't know! Sorry!
