Hello,
as mentioned, I have a problem with my Philips LCD TV 42PFL7662D/12 just 30 days after the warranty expired (hmmm that's quite annoying). I will explain the problem in detail: upon starting up, there is a buzzing noise (maybe more on the left side facing the TV), we have an image for 3 seconds, I noticed that the left side of the screen has become darker than the rest of the screen. And then nothing. And so on when we turn it off and on again.
I look forward to your response.
Thank you.

Hello,
To everyone experiencing this symptom, namely no image, just sound, it is highly likely that this problem is due to one of the two faulty INVERTER boards.
In this case, call Philips customer service, a technician will come to your home and replace the defective board for the modest sum of 0 Euros, whether your TV is under warranty or not.
In my personal case, I found out this information through a forum while I had already ordered an inverter board on eBay. I called support and the day after tomorrow, the TV was working.

Hello
I have the same issue with my 52PFL7662D/12,
I already talked to customer service on the phone and since I'm out of warranty, they basically said good luck,
if you have any tips for dealing with customer service I would like to know, or a seller to buy the replacement parts (since there's a blue screen and it's impossible to access the menus, and the 52-inch TV takes up a lot of space for transport).
Best regards.

Hello,
Are you sure that even if the TV is no longer under warranty, Philips will come and fix the problem?
I'm quite skeptical because brands tend to back out in such cases.
I have a Philips LED TV 46PFL6626H that I've had for only 3 years and the TV starts normally for about 5 minutes, then the screen changes color, leaving trails and deforming the image, before freezing, while the sound remains active...
I've tried several different sources and HDMI ports, but it's always the same.
I'm very disappointed, especially since I previously had a Philips TV that lasted 4 years, but thankfully I had taken a 5-year warranty with Darty, who replaced the TV and gave me another Philips... I had no choice. So I'm really fed up because an €800 TV that lasts 3 years is very little...
I tried calling Philips customer service yesterday but I couldn't reach anyone, maybe too many people are having issues with Philips TVs...

I just posted the SAME message except that I'm under a 5-year warranty, phew... But if this has to happen every 3 months like it does with mine, I'm not in the m.... (purchased 03/2008, 1 breakdown in 05/2010 and another one in 10/2010)!
Thank you Philips!!! The 5-year warranty saves my wallet but I only have 2 and a half years of warranty left with a breakdown every three months... Next time, to hell with the wallet, it'll be a SONY!!!

Hello, same problem for the second time in two years, once under warranty and now I'm waiting for the quote.
For the failure, it is generally the inverter boards that need to be changed, both the master and the slave, as it's a kit sold in pairs.
As for the cost, it depends on whether you go through a professional or an individual.

Hello,
I have the same problem, no image but sound yes, what can I do? I have already changed all the capacitors on the 2 inverters but still no image, so I'm tired, please help me if anyone has found the solution, thank you.
Best regards.

Hello
I have a PHILIPS TV 47PFL9632D/10
For several days now, the right side of the image has been completely blurry (overlapping).
At first, this happened when I turned on the TV, and once it warmed up, it faded away, but now it’s permanent.
What should I do???? Who should I contact????
Thank you for your feedback

Hello, I have a Philips LED TV model "22pfl4505d/f7" with sound, but my screen is black with vertical lines of all colors. I want to order the two transformers for the power supply board, I've already ordered the other defective parts..
My TV is connected to fiber optics, with HDMI and the Videotron Illico machine, nothing else is connected to it, and after three months of use, it doesn't work well anymore. When not connected to the optical, everything was fine for 1 year just with the analog antenna, but there's no reception, and we had ice storms, and power outages, and that's when it started having issues.
Can you send them to me..
I'm in Quebec, Canada. Is it better for me to order in my region or what? Hi by the way to those on the other side of the Atlantic!

Hello, I have the same problem with my 42PFL7662D/12 Philips LCD screen, which I bought 6 years ago (but has been very lightly used). There's no image when I turn it on (the screen is desperately black) and I can't even hear the sound that I was still hearing this afternoon. I also don't hear the buzzing noise that was present when turning on the TV. Could this be an issue with the main and slave board or a power supply problem, or possibly both? I left it unplugged for more than 10 minutes... and nothing at all. And as for resetting it, I don't see how to do that with a BLACK screen. Just like netacad59000, I also don't want to buy another TV that cost me €1450 at the time!!! So Mr. Philips, I would appreciate it if you could contact me for a repair. Thank you in advance.
I have exactly the same problem 3 weeks before the end of the warranty on the same model: buzzing, loss of contrast, and no image. I turn it off and turn it back on. In the top left behind the screen, there is a burnt smell.
Hello,
I have the same problem, can you tell me which parts to change: black screen.
Thank you

I also have a problem with image loss after 30, 40, 50 minutes of operation on a Philips 32PFL 5604H which is no longer under warranty (3 years). The lamp test shows the image unlit. There are two boards in this device; one is a LG PLHL-TA808A and the other has all the external connections. I tried using a hairdryer, but it didn’t work. Does the LG board that receives the power supply also include the inverter? Should it be replaced? Where can I find one? Thank you for your response.

Hello!
It's been 2 weeks since I've been waiting for a technician from Philips to fix my TV!
I was told on the phone that the motherboard is out of stock and then finally that the technician would come.
However, he never shows up!
The representatives on the phone are very unpleasant and treat me with disdain! I've never experienced this with a company's customer service!
What should I do?!
I'm told to contact management if I have complaints, while all I'm asking for is the repair of my TV! Which is still under warranty, by the way!!!!
They don't even offer me a TV exchange to wait!!
I clearly feel like demanding a commercial gesture!

Hello,
I have a problem with a Philips 42pfl7662D TV.
I already took it for repair two months ago, and they changed both boards (main and slave), and it has broken down again.
I have sound, but the picture is desperately black...
Who can I contact? Can I change these two boards myself?
Thank you in advance for your response.

It's still unbelievable that Philips can't do anything about a problem that seems well-known and ends up being costly in the long run!
Hello,
To those experiencing the same problem:
As for me, Philips TV 37PFL7662D/12, all of a sudden there is image but no sound.
Apparently a recurring issue.
Tested the inverter (darfon v183 4h.v1838.461/b) with the ohmmeter: the same value on all transformers except for one with a much lower value.
Ordered the inverter online, reassembled it and it’s working again.
For DIYers, you can just order the transformer and solder it in place of the other one. You can also check with Philips, but it seems quite complicated!!
