Good evening,
My PC is an Asus running Windows 8 64 bit. For the past few days, my PC has been slow to start up and this morning when I restarted it, it froze. Impatient, I pressed the button to reboot it and there was an automatic repair of the hard drives, but since then, it only shows blue screens saying "critical process died" with a sad face :(.
In the system recovery tool, I see: The system recovery tool was unable to repair your PC, click on "advanced options" to try other repair options for the PC.
Log file: C\WINDOWS\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt. (maybe a clue?)
I'm looking for a solution before resetting Windows because I can't back up important things from my hard drives at the moment.
What should I do, please? Is this a Windows bug? I've seen online that many people have this bug, especially with Windows 10. There must be a solution without erasing everything. I think it might be a software conflict causing a major bug, what do you think?
Please help me, thank you very much.
Configuration: Windows 8.1 / Chrome 49.0.2623.112

Thank you for your reply.
The first command didn't work, but the second one did, and it says it corrected some issues.
However, upon rebooting, the same problem persists; the PC wants to repair itself automatically, then it runs a diagnostic that fails constantly.
Another problem is that I noticed in the BIOS my hard drives were not detected...
