Hello,
Here is my problem, I work in a chemical factory and we are currently on a rotating shift system of 3x8, with 5 teams.
We do 2x Morning (5am-12pm) / 2x Afternoon (12pm-8pm) / 2x Night (8pm-5am) followed by 4 days off, and then it starts again.
I would like to propose a rotating schedule of 2x12h (Day 7am-7pm and Night 7pm-7am). I was already given a schedule that looks like this:
The first remark was that there is not enough rest between each shift, so I am looking to create a schedule over more than 5 weeks that keeps 6 consecutive days off and would preferably have more often 3 days off between each shift of 2 days!
The constraints: over the year, average 12 working days per month and do not accumulate 2 Nights.

I might be off base, but what does this topic have to do with the "Excel" section? Even though you are using Excel, you are not asking for help with the software but on a change in the way of functioning in business logistics..
