Hello, my name is Noémie and I am 15 years old. I've had my PSP for almost a year and yesterday I had a slight problem =s!
A friend started a game update to version 2.5 (I have no idea what that is), so I wanted to cancel this update and foolishly removed the battery from my PSP.
Then I tried to turn it back on, but the screen stays black; only the green LED lights up and goes off after a few seconds.
Moreover, my PSP is out of warranty!
Please help me fix my baby!! I love it so much =)

same problem but solved
plug your usb into the pc
power+R
recovery
1st line USB enable
come to your pc
format your memory card
download firmware 1.5
unzip it into the memory card
go to run psp/...........eboot
click on it and let it run
then manual restart
and reconfiguration
OR ELSE
1. The psp must be disconnected from the cable and stuff...
2. When everything is off, turn on your psp and hold the "R" button (it is at the top right of the psp)
3. Normally you will have a screen where you will find your initial mistake. This screen is the RECOVERY mode ("this Recovery might be a virus? I, in any case, don't know how or why it would be one?") Now at the end of this recovery, you should normally find the word "EXIT" (which means...)
click on it.
4. Do you still have the black screen? Especially if so, do not turn it off because by pressing the "R" button (for about 3 or 4 seconds) you will see your PSP return to itself with its nice (mine has a blue screen)
5. Be sure to read the next steps. After this, if you have pirated games or videos... Save them to your desktop then format your psp and you just need to connect the PSP to the PC and start your downgrade again, thank you.
