Buying a mobile online or in-store

Hello everyone. A quick question that may seem silly, but what is the difference between buying a phone online (Amazon for example) and the same model in a store? Considering that I sometimes notice a difference of 40 or 50€, is there a real added value?

    Hi,
    When you buy a phone from a carrier store, it is often locked to that carrier: you need to perform a special operation to use a SIM card other than the one from the carrier. The carrier often adds a software overlay with apps that aren't necessarily useful...
    Personally, I prefer to buy online; I'm sure to get the phone as it was designed by the manufacturer.

      Indeed, I forgot this point mentioned by Danelectro: phones bought in stores like Orange have unnecessary carrier bloatware. :D

    Phones sold online are sometimes cheaper and yet they are entirely official, legal, and identical to the stock in stores like Fnac, Darty...
    Be careful, if the difference is too significant from usual prices, it might be scams or counterfeit products of very poor quality.
    Otherwise, it's all good! ^^

    Hello, there are hypermarkets, for example, that sell unlocked mobiles and locked mobiles. Personally, I preferred to buy mine in a large store because of the after-sales service and the contact, and I don't regret it!
