Hello,
To follow up on a previous call, could you let me know how to uninstall but not delete background tasks (in case they need to be reinstalled someday) in order to declutter the computer
that is causing me more and more issues during operations, especially with Internet Explorer via Orange. How can I identify essential tasks from opportunistic ones? Thank you for your help.

    hello,

    run Task Scheduler
right-click on the taskbar >> Task Manager >> File: Run a new task >> type Taskschd.msc in the box
    the scheduler opens
click on the Task Scheduler Library line
    select a task >> right-click and disable

    or
right-click on the taskbar >> Task Manager >> Startup
disable a program or another with a right-click

Thank you, pistouri, for your response. Unfortunately, I do not understand which "triggers" to deactivate. I followed your process and ended up with about ten "triggers" in my list. When I clicked on a line (for example, creat...) - deactivate, I received a message stating that I could not do that; and the same happened on several lines. I therefore backtracked for fear of making mistakes and am now stuck. I think that in the end, I will take my computer to a specialist who can see what can be removed. I sincerely thank you for your help, which, if I remember correctly, is not the first time. Best wishes.

Save your data and favorites, your messaging contacts to an external storage device first.

ccleaner does it too>>open ccleaner>>tools>> startup>>2 tabs to check: startup to see what launches at startup of the pc>>scheduler tasks

Unfortunately, I got scammed by Compufly in the meantime! I will ask the forum for advice on how to prevent this Compufly from taking control of my computer. And of course, I provided my bank details for a €300 repair to be protected and fixed! But it seems that this Compufly is having issues with La Banque Postale, which may have saved me, as my account hasn't been debited this morning. They told me they were having some problems with that bank and insisted on having another bank account, which I didn't provide this time. I will therefore make a preventative CCM call in this regard.
      Thank you, pistouri.
