Hello,
I use Mozilla Firefox. This morning, I made a wrong manipulation that changed my "bookmark" which appeared when I clicked on an icon on my screen, at the top right. Now, when I want it to appear, I have to click on "open the menu" where the icon is at the bottom right. That is tedious, but the most annoying thing is that the icon where I could add a site to "my favorites," and thus to my "bookmarks," has disappeared!
How can I get those 2 icons back at the top right of my screen?
Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 46.0

Hello,
try this:
click on the three horizontal lines at the top (it says open the menu when you hover your mouse over it)
then click on customize
see if you see the bookmark icon
if that's the case, drag it while holding it to move it up into your bar
then close the customize tab.

Thank you Pistouri, it worked for the bookmark icon, it appears in the top left of my screen just to the right of the star. However, for the icon that allows me to add a site to "My Favorites," how do I do that?

normally right-click on the site page to add it and bookmark this page (click on the star icon)

Hello,
Well, you click on the star....

Pistouri & Dori@n, that's exactly it. At first, when seeing the star, I thought "but clicking on it is how I save what I'm interested in," so I tested it, but it didn't work as usual (you can see the star move to the bookmarks icon when you click on it). I then asked how to do it. While waiting for your response, I tried again and there I found the functionality.

another solution:
once firefox is open right-click at the top of the page and check menu bar and personal bar if it’s not already checked
then go to your site
now click on bookmark at the top of the page
then click on bookmark this page.

Everything is fine now or almost: how can I keep my bookmark from disappearing every time I go to a site? I have to click on the icon each time for "my favorites" to be visible due to my problem.

drag it to the personal bar

It's normal when you're on the bookmarks that they are all in a row
by default
but when you're on your site, copy (select) the URL address by right-clicking
and paste it by right-clicking on the bookmarks bar, this will prevent you from opening your
bookmarks

What I meant to say is that before I had a list of websites, etc., saved in "My Favorites", and now I have this list multiplied by six!

save your bookmarks to the desktop or your documents
test this
repair firefox:
open firefox then click on the Question mark (in the menu bar, at the top of the page)
troubleshooting information
then repair firefox.

Hello Pistouri,
What you suggest seems a bit complicated to me. I think it will be easier for me to remove the duplicates from "my favorites".
Thank you! -

OK, take the time to remove duplicates with a right-click
