Hello,
After installing Avast, it scanned my computer and then offered to update a software (WinZip). It was after this WinZip update by Avast that the taskbar in Windows turned black. When I tried to go to the desktop, it was also completely black. No keyboard shortcuts work and I don't dare restart my PC because I have an important file sharing in progress.
I couldn’t find any other problems like this on other forums because each time it was after a restart of the PC that the black screen occurred.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 50.0.2661.102

Hello,
You need to perform a system restore to revert the PC back to a time before the Avast! bug. However, to do this, you need access to the advanced recovery options either using the Windows CD/DVD or by doing the following:
Start and turn off the PC 3 times in a row, but when you shut it down, keep holding the button down for a long time.
On the 4th time, the options will appear. Then choose Troubleshoot / Advanced options / System Restore.
