You need to try:
Once Impress is available, you click Open and select the file.
- If it’s a simple slideshow (text and photos), it should work.
- If there are effects, transitions, but especially music or video (or even macros), it probably won’t work.
In that case,
- either you download Open Office and redo your presentation with Impress,
- or you bring your laptop to college to show your work.
