Fan Control Software

Hello

I'm reaching out today because I am desperate.
The fan on my Lenovo laptop is running at full speed all the time. As if it's overheating (but it really isn't).
In the summer, this computer serves as an air conditioner since the air coming out of the fan is so cold.

As I write this post, my task manager indicates that I'm using my processor at 1% and my memory at 50%.

I wanted to know if you are aware of any software that allows me to MODIFY the fan speed.

Please don't tell me "Speed Fan"... I need software that can change the fan speed, not just software that allows me to see that I'm in trouble.

Respectfully
Kitalpha

    Hello,

If your BIOS allows you to modify the fan speed, "Speed Fan" would enable you to do so. If you can't do it with "Speed Fan," it means your PC doesn't allow for manual adjustment of the fan speed. Sorry.

Have you taken it apart? Maybe you forgot to reconnect the thermal sensor. Perhaps you have an option in the BIOS to adjust the fan speed.

P.S.: The CPU usage indicated by the task manager does not necessarily reflect the CPU temperature.

Once the problem is resolved, please remember to notify it in the forum title. By selecting "mark as resolved" in your first post.

      Hello
      Thank you for your reply!

I have never disassembled it, however, I was planning to do so to see if there was a dust issue or something like that. Do you know how to access the BIOS settings?

To access the BIOS / UEFI settings, it depends on the manufacturer. Usually, the key to press is displayed at startup "Press xxxx to access setup/BIOS"
It can be F2, del, or Alt+F2, etc.
