Hello, I have a VCR with 2 SCART sockets: one to connect to the TV, the other to a decoder. My new Fransat HD decoder only has one SCART socket to connect to the TV and an HDMI. There is no VCR input on the decoder. How to wire everything to input to the VCR via the HD decoder (recording will probably be in SD) and go back to the TV (the TV has 1 SCART and 3 HDMI). Thank you for your help.

Hi,
Recording will not happen since your VCR is analog and HD is digital.
You need a home DVD recorder to record HD programs.
You can also use an external hard drive if your Fransat HD decoder can record to such a medium. -
It’s indeed a DVD burner (which also functions as a VCR) and I had been connecting it up until now to the SD decoder’s VCR input. I want to be able to record on DVD.

You connect the VCR with the SCART (péritel) to the satellite receiver, and the latter to the TV via HDMI.
There is also this kind of box.

Tell me all the inputs and outputs device by device. -
