Hello,
I will finish my second year in computer science in May, and I have decided to apply for the engineering cycle in computer science at Polytech Nantes next year. To get there, I am asked to do a "motivation interview." Since this is billed as a competition, I am wondering what it exactly involves? Are there theoretical questions to check my knowledge? Is it just an interview to assess my personality? Are there practical tests?
Thank you for your answers!

Hello
this interview:
1) should allow you to explain the reasons why you are applying to Polytech Nantes (more generally, why a degree in computer engineering interests you)
2) should allow you to ask any questions you have about this opportunity to continue your studies
3) will give you the chance to present what you think is interesting about your experiences, your tastes, your ideas, in relation to this training opportunity and to engage in a discussion with the jury
The evaluation of applications is largely done through the examination of files (grades, rankings, assessments, academic backgrounds, motivation letters), which the oral interview usefully complements.
(I am part of the teaching team of the Computer Science Department at Polytech Nantes and of these recruitment juries)
