Hello.
The recording of films never goes all the way through. Maximum 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 20. Whether it's going through the program guide and then scheduled recording or direct recording while watching.
What should I do? (I have a fast and high-capacity USB stick).
One question: when I press the red button on the remote control to record from the program guide, this happens. Press once, the letter R appears in front of the chosen program. Press twice, the letter D. Press three times, the letter W. Press four times, more letters. What does that mean?
Thank you.

Hello. I've resolved the issue with the recording duration. As for SHARP customer service, forget about them; they are incompetent and unresponsive. Basically, you need to go into the settings menu (don’t forget to connect the recording device, USB stick or hard drive), find the PVR system setting, then select the device (there could be multiple options since there are several USB ports) and adjust the timeshift (this term actually refers to the possible recording duration on the device) and set it to the maximum, which in my case is 4 GB. If my recordings were all incomplete (maximum 1 hour and 20 minutes), it was because the timeshift was set to 512 MB. My stick is a SanDisk USB 3.0 with 128 GB.
By the way, thanks for the info on the calendar channel. -

Hello
I sent requests to 2 SHARP sites (contacts) and received a response telling me to call the hotline because, supposedly, they don’t handle the equipment!!!
I’m waiting for the second one and if I get something, I’ll put it up.
I am still trying unsuccessfully for now regarding the scheduled recording.
If you know, tell me the method because there’s nothing concrete in the documentation for recording

Response from SHARP
Incomplete but already a good start of explanations not included in the manual
Following your email below, please find attached the manual of your TV in “.pdf” format and below additional information regarding the PVR function:
Here is the meaning of the letters that appear when selecting the PVR function for program recordings:
R – One-time recording
D – Daily recording
W – Weekly recording
A – Automatic recording
Clock symbol = reminder
Note:
A – Automatic recording: It will recognize the selected program.
This means that the recording will follow the program and not its original schedule. If we record a program like "the weather," it will recognize the program under this title, and not by following the initially scheduled time (Example: You select the Weather program, and the Weather is scheduled from 8:45 PM to 8:50 PM, if the previous program ends at 8:55 PM, and the Weather starts at 8:57 PM, it will indeed record the Weather at 8:57 PM)
But for this, you must correctly point to this program, and only if the TV can recognize it.-
The PVR system never recognizes a program regardless of the channel or time. Therefore, the letter A never appears. It says: "make sure to select the program and only if the TV can recognize it." How do we know if the TV can recognize it? Or is this specified somewhere?
- Hello
It's the SHARP response that should apply to all LED TV models but mine doesn't have an A either.
I'm still waiting for an email from them because they don't answer 100% of the questions asked and they forgot to attach a PDF
If several of us reported our problems to them, maybe they would take them into account.
Do you also have the green icons R D W and clock?

SHARP Response
Hello,
We have acknowledged your email, but at this stage, we regret to inform you that this is the only response we can provide.
Best regards. [cid:image001.jpg@01D122BE.AF24F320]
My response
Hello sharp.admin,
I will provide you with what I have begun to understand regarding your green icons, but not all are used yet.
They are derived from the red recording icons but only serve to access the pre-programmed channel and the TV in operation.
So
Green icon D = opens the show on day D for its display duration
Green icon W = opens the show on week W for its display duration
Green clock icon = opens the show for an indefinite duration
To check and edit, you must go to channel
then calendar
You will find the recording or viewing schedules
you can then edit to change the start and end times, which you must admit is not simple.
However, it is not necessary to use the record button with the guide; you just need to press Ok several times to display the red icons R, D, W, then the green icons D, W, Clock.
Display A does not exist on my model.
I hope these instructions will be useful to other users of your devices and update your manuals.
Best regards.
