Install a font on Mac

Hello,
I downloaded and installed Dafont fonts on my Mac by double-clicking the file.
And now they appear in the Font Book.
However, I can't use them in Pages and other applications because they don't show up there. Only one out of the eight is present in the font list of these programs.
I have the impression that it's because it's the only one that includes special characters.
Indeed, the other fonts accept all characters except the ligature oe.
I also think this because when I open the Font Book, I notice that only the one that works appears in the smart collection named "Français". The others are only in "All Fonts".
What should I do? I'm going completely crazy, I've been searching for days and days without finding anything!

So,
test done:
indeed the font does not appear in the Pages choice, I don’t know why yet, but we can still make it work. Current solution:
Go to the Format menu / Show Fonts...
In the following window, this font is there, you select it and you'll have it in your document:
If I find a way to make it possible directly, I'll get back to you.

I just saw that after the first use of this font, we can find it in the following documents, right at the top of the list of choices:

After checking, this font does indeed include all special characters, it is installed, appears in the Font Book, but not in any application (Pages...)
And it does not appear in the "French" collection either.
