Hello,
I have a Marshall Major headset that comes with a microphone. After some research online, I understand that since this headset only has a single common jack for both the headphones and the mic, it is impossible for me to use both simultaneously on my desktop PC (which has two distinct ports: one for input and the other for output).
The headphone part works perfectly fine. However, when I plug it into the mic port, it is recognized as a microphone but the recording volume is extremely low (barely perceptible even with the volume turned all the way up). I went into the recording device settings to increase the level and boost, but that doesn’t make a difference.
I want to clarify that this mic is functional as it works perfectly and delivers very good audio quality when I plug it into my MacBook Pro.
Therefore, I would like to know if there is a solution to my problem.
Thank you in advance
