RIG Headset Issue

Hello everyone,
I just acquired a Plantronics Micro RIG a moment ago, but after plugging in my headset and making all the necessary adjustments (setting the RIG microphone as default, connecting everything as indicated in the diagram, downloading the driver, restarting the computer... my mic isn't working! I'm not talking about the speakers; I can manage the sound on both the phone and PC, but my microphone doesn't work at all! I primarily talk on TeamSpeak; I have also configured the default communication device, but when I test it, no sound is coming through the headset! Nobody can hear me... I prefer to make a post before returning it to the store and getting a refund, hoping that you can help me.
