Hello,
I am contacting you because I have been experiencing an issue for a few weeks now, since I got fiber with Orange. There are 2 Macs (a desktop and a laptop) connected via Wi-Fi, plus my PC (Windows 7) connected via Ethernet to the box. I constantly have to turn off and restart my box every time I turn on my PC because it does not detect the box otherwise. When I click on "Troubleshoot" it tells me that it cannot find a valid IP configuration. I have looked on several forums with similar problems and have tried a few manipulations but without success. I prefer to avoid doing anything rash..
I am therefore seeking your help to resolve this issue.
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 48.0.2564.116

Hello
Check that your DNS is set to automatic by right-clicking on the network, opening the network center, then clicking on Ethernet or Wi-Fi (the blue text) at the top, then clicking on properties and on IPv4 protocol to ensure everything is set to automatic under general and under alternative configuration.
Best regards

Avoid those so-called free repair software; they are of no major use. Your best companions are DOS and Powershell...

I had already checked before and it had already been done, so there are no changes in that regard.
Hi,
please contact your ISP to request a replacement for the box, if it was working better before.
Is your PC connected directly to the box or through powerline adapters?

and... There you go!

Maybe I forgot to mention that the problem only comes from my PC. The two Macs connected via WiFi have no issues and are always connected without needing to turn the box off and on again.
So your connection in question is on your PC, check your Ethernet card in your devices, right-click on the Start menu, Device Manager
Click on the top under View and check Show hidden devices
What is the name of your network card and which driver is being used? Right-click on the name of the card and then on Properties.

I called Orange customer service and they told me that it could be the firewall blocking the connection. I disabled it but it didn't change anything. They suggested changing the Livebox, but I doubt that's the problem since it works for the other two computers. Otherwise, I only have the option of buying a Wi-Fi card or a USB Wi-Fi adapter...
Any other solutions you think?

What is surprising is that sometimes my PC detects the connection, it says "Network 4 Internet Access". I can browse some websites and not others. When I check the details on the sites I can't access, it says "Unable to find the server for ............. because the DNS resolution has failed. This error is often due to a lack of internet connection or incorrect network configuration. It can also be caused by a DNS server that is not responding or by a firewall that prevents Google Chrome from accessing the network."
