The email alarm is not working from my Lidl IP camera.

Hello,
After much difficulty, I can view the surveillance videos from my smartphone or PC, but whatever the email alarm configuration, I cannot send emails even in test mode, and I get the message:
Test ... Failed
Connection to the server not possible

For the configuration of my camera, I've tried everything: with or without authentication, SSL, using my free email address with smtp.free.fr server or this email address (with and without the ***@***) as the sender

I am convinced that this is due to the configuration of my Freebox router; can someone help me?

Hello,
After many attempts, here is my configuration that works perfectly.
Create a gmail account xxx@gmail.com
then on the camera
Alarm Mail Configuration
Sender: xxx@gmail.com
smtp server: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP port: 465
Need authentication: checked
SSL: TLS
Sender account: xxx@gmail.com
Account password: your gmail password
Nothing to do on GMAIL or your BOX.
PS: I am using Freebox and IPCAM LIDL (IAN48807 IUK5A1)

Hello,does this type of camera connect to a server by chance?what address do you go to see the images?if that's the case, it's probably the server that sends the email, not the camera, and the server is not at your place.and ... there you go!

Yes, I tried just like the combination for tonight which, after being random at first, works well now with:
smtp.free.fr
authentication yes
SSL TLS
port SMTP: 465

I am sure I have tried this combination before and just like the initial failures before a stable operation, it's hard to understand.
I hope it lasts.

For €50 at LIDL with HP, a microphone, an acceptable definition including infrared, all guaranteed for 3 years, I am quite happy with my purchase, especially now that it works.
Having spoken with others who bought this type of camera from IT professionals, the one from LIDL installs very easily on a smartphone with automatic recognition by scanning the QR code under the sole with the LAN cable connected to the box.

Hello everyone,

Same camera, same problem ...

First step: create a Gmail address.

Once the address is created, go to your Google account and "lower the security" of your devices!

Configure directly in the camera's interface, via a browser (address like 192.168.0.XX:81), the email alert with:
stmp.gmail.com
port 25
SSL

Don't forget to fill in the other fields... the time range too!!

And, normally, you will receive your alerts with the photo attached.

What do you mean by lowering the security in the Google account settings?
Is it the activation of "Allow less secure apps" in the "Sign-in & security" section of "My account"?
My Google account is set up this way, and it's not working.
