Lenovo Laptop

Solved

Hello,

Three months ago, I bought a Lenovo laptop, and after a while, I noticed that the battery drains quickly for a new computer. I charge it, and as soon as I unplug it, I lose 1%, then it keeps dropping.
I take it back to the store, and they send it to the after-sales service. Three weeks later, I receive it back and charge it; when it shows 100%, I unplug it, and it shows 98%, I plug it in and it shows 100%, etc...
I'm starting to wonder if they actually repaired it!!!

After 10 minutes, it shows 91%, what's going on? What's causing this? Please

Thanks in advance and have a good weekend

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 48.0.2564.97

Hello,

Could we know what kind of Lenovo laptop it is? A model would be appreciated.

When a laptop is on battery, many factors must be taken into account for battery consumption... the screen brightness level, how it is used while on battery... but also its hardware configuration.

Good evening,

Thank you for your response,
The brand of the laptop is Ideapad 100-15IBY, brightness is at 50%, I check my account, I visit websites like Kiabi, etc. or play games on Facebook.

Have a good evening.

hello.

Going online using Wi-Fi and playing games on Facebook puts a strain on the processor, which increases consumption, and thus the battery drains faster, which is normal.
If you do word processing while putting the laptop in airplane mode, you'll see that the battery lasts longer ^^

Personally, my battery lasts barely 2 hours while online, but I know that the power of my processor is the reason for this ridiculous battery life, which is why the battery is kept in a cupboard, 100% usage on mains power..!!!!

Hello ^^

Okay, but it drains quickly even without playing games, just by visiting websites.
And what worries me is that since it was repaired, it shows 100% charged and once I unplug it, it says 98%, why?

Hello,

I think we shouldn't try to overthink a 2% issue.
Especially since the battery isn't brand new anymore.
Keep in mind that when a laptop is guaranteed for 1 or even 2 years, the battery is not.
Batteries, in general, have a warranty of 6 months.
And I have already experienced a case where a battery was dead after 7 months. So, after 4 or 5 months, it shouldn't have lasted more than 45 minutes.

And if your battery drops by 10% in 10 minutes, that's nothing unusual.
This would mean your battery lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
When we know that even brand new, some batteries and laptops don't exceed 2 hours, this confirms that there's nothing extraordinary about your battery.

Talk to you later.
