4GB or 8GB RAM?

Hello everyone :)

I would need some advice for buying a new laptop in the coming days! I found 2 ASUS 15.6", i5. One has 4GB of RAM and the other has 8GB for a difference of €70. €70 is still €70 (every little bit counts :p), so I wanted to know if the 8GB would really be useful for me.
What do I do on my PC? Mostly a lot of internet browsing, I watch a lot (a lot) of series/movies, Word, etc... Occasionally (about twice a month) I do a little Photoshop work.

Is the 8GB really necessary? Is it worth it for a €70 difference? :)

Thanks in advance!

    Hi

No, it's not worth it at all if the only difference is the amount of RAM; a 4GB RAM stick costs well under €70 if it were necessary, but given your usage, I doubt you need more than 4GB.

Thank you both very much for your responses!
I'm not skilled enough in PC "mechanics" to add a RAM module, but I'm not sure it’s super complicated...

The PCs are as follows for your information:

The 2nd model, in addition to 8GB of RAM, has a small dedicated graphics card. Moreover, for Photoshop, an additional 4GB of RAM should make a slight difference.

The dedicated graphics card won't bring anything for the stated use, and a RAM stick, if needed—which I doubt—costs much less than €70.

    Hello,
for your use, 4GB is enough. 8GB may be useful to you but rarely.
Moreover, the computer offering 4GB might have 2 RAM slots, which will be useful if you really need it after the warranty period.

And how could adding a RAM stick void the warranty?

Some PCs do not have access panels for direct access to the RAM. Disassembly may involve removing a sticker (already seen in Lenovo devices, for example).

Sure, if it needs to be opened, that's not going to work ^^
