How to connect speakers to TV

Hello,

I bought a Continental Edison CE 66HD26A LCD TV last December and, to my great surprise, when I wanted to connect speakers to it, I noticed that there is no audio output on the television, nor a headphone jack. How can I connect my speakers? I read some users' reviews about this TV and they said it wasn't a big deal since they could use a SCART adapter. If someone can help me, thank you in advance for your replies.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.0.19

Check whether you have either a jack input or an RCA input (one white and one red). Normally, you should always have at least one of the two. If it is an RCA input, you just need to buy a jack to RCA cable. You must obviously ensure that the input is indeed an output (or "out" otherwise it's for connecting a device for the sound to come out of the TV).

If the television is equipped with an SPDIF output (optical output), you just need to buy a digital-to-analog DAC audio converter:

Finally, if it is equipped with a SCART, you need to buy a SCART Output (or Switchable Input/Output) SCART to Composite RCA and S-Video adapter:

I do have a white and red connector (to which I plug in the cables for my PlayStation, for example), but I don't think they are audio outputs.

check if the sound works with your PS; if it doesn't, it's an output

normally, when it's an input, you have 3 RCA jacks (one yellow for video as well)

if you don't have RCA jacks or a jack (that would still be surprising), I don't see how you can do it

otherwise he could output the sound from the SCART with a SCART "output" adapter
to connect to a red and white RCA jack to plug into an amp.
but the sound will not be stereo

Behind the TV, there are, on two lines
- first line: Video L in Rin
- second line: Y Pb Pr Lin R in Pc in RF Coax

I connect the PlayStation or the media player to the yellow connectors (video), white L in and red R in.
