Connect Speakers to Samsung TV

Question

Good evening,

I recently bought a Samsung UE46F6320 TV and I would like to know how to connect my speakers to it. Here's the situation:

I need to connect three cables but I don't know where... In the meantime, I've only connected the green cable to the headphone jack of the TV but the sound quality is obviously worse than if everything was connected.

Left speaker on the white
Right speaker on the red below.

On your TV, you also have sound through an optical cable. By any chance, do your speakers also have the option to connect the optical? The sound would only be better.

Hello remy2906,

Before spouting your nonsense, you should take a second look at the connections on this TV; they are not JACK sockets, but RCA!!!

So what are you going to invent about connecting JACKs to RCA?

Furthermore, if you had done a little research, you would have noticed that the connections referred to as " COMPONENT " are RCA SOCKETS that accept RCA PLUGS and not JACKS!!!

Moreover, these RCA (YUV + audio) are INPUTS and not OUTPUTS, so it is impossible to output sound through them!!!

It is clearly indicated (in the picture) " COMPONENT / AV IN "

The 3 RCA connectors (Yellow/Green, Blue, and Red) are for the video, and the 2 RCA connectors (Red and White) are for the audio.

The big problem, you see, is that this kind of equipment is not designed to be connected to a TV but rather to a PC.

Moreover, your TV doesn't offer a wide range of audio connections; aside from the headphone jack and the optical output, there's nothing else.

Here’s what should meet your request to connect your PC audio setup to your TV, but via the optical audio output of your TV, and you would already have better sound.

Hi,

And by what means would you like to directly connect those speakers to the TV???

Just to let you know, if it’s via the headphone output, you will be very disappointed; there is a huge loss of signal, and it will only be stereo sound.

And if it’s via the optical output, you’ll need an amplification system.

So, why not save some money for a period that you determine and then invest in a real home theater system, either an all-in-one or an amplifier with separate speakers???

Using the headphone output for speakers has never yielded good results.

Moreover, the speakers you want to connect to the TV must have an internal amplification system; otherwise, you won't get any sound at all.
