Hello,
wanting to downgrade my ACER Aspire E 5 - 5 7 1 G from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7, I performed a Windows 7 installation. Therefore, I had to reinstall quite a few drivers. After a few hours spent, I managed to reinstall all of them without (too many) issues except one that is resisting me.
Named right after the installation of Windows "PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller", its name changed to "Intel(R) d.y.n.a.m.i.c p.l.a.t.f.o.r.m a.n.d thermal f.r.a.m.e.w.o.r.k participant" after installing a driver.

The v.e.n Id is: 8086.
The d.e.v Id is: 9 C A 4.

As mentioned earlier, I have already installed a driver for the device, but a little yellow triangle persists on it. The error message is: "Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (code 37)." I feel helpless in the face of this problem and hope that a kind person will help me in the quest for "no yellow triangle in the device manager"!

Thank you in advance and happy holidays!

P.S.: Sorry for the weird points and spaces, but the autocorrect was preventing me from posting otherwise...

Hi, thanks for your reply. I tried updating with the driver you provided and I’m getting the exact same error as before. That is, it recognizes the driver well, but it crashes during the installation saying simply: "Windows cannot initialize the driver for this hardware. (Code 37)".

I uninstalled the driver using the add/remove programs tool. It has disappeared from my list of programs, but when I go to disk management, it's still there. Two files are pointed out in the driver details, one .sys and one .dll, both in \system32. How do I really uninstall the driver? Also, I have another device that has a problem; it doesn't have a driver at all. From what I've read, it corresponds to something with a 56K modem. I haven't mentioned it since it's a bit obsolete in 2015, but who knows, maybe it's a dependency issue... The other one is:
VEN_8086&DEV_9CBA. I haven't been able to find its driver online.

Thanks for your cooperation anyway!
