I blocked a contact thinking it would only stop calls, but the texts are not coming through either. How can I retrieve the messages he sent me?

Hello,
The basic blocking feature on iPhone not only blocks calls but also messages. I don’t have an iPhone, but I did some research. Try to go to Settings > Messages > Blocked and see if there’s a way to unblock just messages. Otherwise, you’ll need to go through a paid app from the Store to block only calls from a person.
Nota Bene: messages not received due to blocking are lost and will not be displayed when unblocking.
