No sound when I plug in my headphones.

Hello!

As stated in the title, when I plug my headphones into my laptop, no sound comes out. The headphones work perfectly as I tested them on my phone beforehand. Additionally, the sound on my computer works fine since there are no issues without the headphones. I tried using a different pair of headphones, and got the same result.

If someone could take a little of their time to help me, that would be great!

Hello, go to the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" (icon in the taskbar near the clock), on the right you will see "Analog", click on the "folder" icon, check "Enable popup dialog when device is plugged in" and click OK. Plug in your headphones and in the window that appears select the headphones option.
If you don't have the Realtek HD audio manager, install the audio driver for your PC that you can find here: https://www.asus.com/fr/Notebooks/G741JM/HelpDesk_Download/

Hey! Thanks for your response. I have the Realtek HD Audio Manager and did as you described. Unfortunately, the problem persists. When I open the icon in the bottom right corner for the speakers (headphones plugged in), I can see that there is sound (green bar appearing if sound is present), but nothing is coming out of my headphones.

Try reinstalling your audio driver from the link I posted in my previous message.
