Hello,
I am coming to ask for your help. I can't install Avira. I find myself without any antivirus.
I have installed MBAM, Adwcleaner, CCleaner, ZHPCleaner.
I've installed and uninstalled it three times (using Revo in Safe Mode).
For your information: this PC has been inactive for two years. I have checked the Windows updates. However, when I want to check if "the plugins are up to date," the "Plugins status" window opens, spins ... and nothing happens (for 1 hour).

Would you be so kind as to help me with the installation of this?
Thank you in advance for the time you are willing to give me,
Best regards, Tatiana

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 40.0

Moreover, it's not just Avira that doesn't want to install correctly; Secunia PSI doesn't want to either...

Well there you go... Now you know at least that the problem doesn't come from the antivirus....
Do you understand better now?

Indeed. But then what should I do? Reinstall Windows?

No answers to my question... so I tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode and downloading Avira: file named "avira_antivirus_fr-fr" which is 214,999 KB.

It works very well. No Launcher.. Great.

Well, I hope to get a bit more help for a future question.
Greetings to all.

Hello. I want to install an antivirus and I chose Avira. However, the installation doesn't complete. Message "Antivirus installation error". I have turned off the firewall and run it as an administrator.

Okay. Try Avast Free instead, it's more effective.
