Hello everyone,
Not being very knowledgeable about how routers and Wi-Fi connections work, I am seeking your help, dear forum members.
The Wi-Fi connection on my Android mobile (4.4.2) to my personal Wi-Fi worked perfectly for a few months, and suddenly, without having touched my router or my Wi-Fi connection on my mobile, the connection to my private Wi-Fi network changed. Indeed, I went from a connection "proxy = none" (which was working very well) to "proxy = manual" (Host name 127.0.0.1, proxy port 3128, IP settings = DHCP)... but I don't have a proxy! And no matter how much I change my connection mode in the advanced settings (Proxy = manual, and my connection works again), as soon as my mobile goes to sleep (after a few minutes), I automatically find myself with the "proxy = manual" setting. So, I am connected to my Wi-Fi network, but none of the apps on my mobile (HTC One M8) can connect to the internet (gmail, chrome, firefox........).
I have looked into the settings of my router (not really understanding, and without changing anything), into the settings of my mobile; I have also searched online for an answer to my problem, without finding anything (Google is no longer what it used to be in terms of result quality).
If any of you have a solution to my problem it would be really great, I have been pulling my hair out for 3 weeks without finding any solutions...
Thank you in advance to all of you for your patience, and hoping for a stroke of genius from one of you. Wishing you all a good afternoon, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Cyril

Hello,
What you are describing does not come from your router, for starters.
I would rather say that you have an application on your phone that modifies your network settings... But which one? I don't know.
Could you tell us what applications are installed on your system?
Or do you remember an application you installed between the time when the issue didn't exist and when it appeared?
Best regards,
