Hello,
I have a small issue when I want to play my tracks on my car radio; it shows the same track twice.
The first one is written correctly, but the second one has a prefix " _. ", which is quite annoying when I want to listen to music, as I end up with a folder of 193 songs instead of 100 in my folder.
This didn't happen on Windows, but it does on Mac Yosemite.
From what I have read on various forums, these are hidden files that Mac creates, and my car radio shows them as a readable mp3 file, except it indicates an error.
(I displayed these hidden files and deleted ".DS_STORE", closed Finder, and ejected the USB stick, but it didn't work)
Do you have a solution to prevent my car radio from displaying them?
Thank you
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.10.4) / Safari 8.0.7

Apparently, it wouldn't come from a hidden file "<code>.DS_Store</code>", because even with just a single piece, I don't have a "<code>.DS_Store</code>" file but I still have a 2nd piece with the same name prefixed by "<code>._</code>".
Hello,
I just did a test, (I put 7 GB of music), and in the end, I found 3 or 4 hidden files, which I deleted, (including the .trashes folder that I had to delete using the Terminal), but no more than that. No duplicates.
The problem may then stem from how these music tracks were copied. As for me, I simply dragged and dropped them from the iTunes window to the USB drive...

Yes, because .Trashes or .Trash corresponds to the trash bin of the drive. Each volume has its own trash bin, and these trash bins are protected system files. I don't know if this file actually interferes with the car radio, but to delete it using the Terminal, you need to follow this method:

EDIT: you can't see what you're typing in the Terminal when entering your password. That's normal.
