How to restore a "hidden" folder in Outlook?

Hello,

I accidentally clicked on "hide" in front of a folder I had in Outlook.
So that folder no longer appears in my list of folders.

However, I can still find all the emails I had sorted in that folder by typing it into "search messages," but I can't restore the hidden folder.

Here's what I've done, but without success:

By searching on the Internet, I followed the recommended instructions: I clicked on "Start" and then went to the "Control Panel". Not finding "Folder Options" as indicated, I typed it into the designated area. An icon for "Folder Options" then appeared. I clicked on it, then I went to "View" and clicked on "Restore hidden files and folders", then OK.
It didn't change anything.

I should mention that I'm on Vista.

Thank you for helping me with simple, step-by-step instructions; I'm not very tech-savvy.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Chrome 43.0.2357.134

Hello,

Thank you for your prompt response, and I had already seen this link to which ... I don't understand anything at all.

I did notice that for Vista, you need to go to: drive:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

I assume that 'Users' and 'username' need to be changed, but what should they be replaced with?

What is meant by 'Users'?
What is meant by 'username': my name? My first and last name? My first name and last name? My email address?

As you can see, computing is not my cup of tea, and I often get stuck on the exact meanings of the terms used.

Could you please provide me with more in-depth information, somewhat like "computing for dummies"?

Thank you

Hello,
The reader is C:, which corresponds to the hard drive.
Usernames are you and the people using the PC.
When you click on C: gradually, you need to click on Users, then the user gives you the line: username, which is your name or first name, then username gives you AppData, which gives you the word Local, then etc... until Outlook.
