Hello,
I was advised to come to "Virus/Security" because we think my problem is due to an infection. So let me explain again:
For some time now, and I don't know how long, Windows Update doesn't want to search for updates, download any, or install them. It always displays the same messages without any error code. I'm attaching two screenshots that will show the only two things it tells me. I have already done research, posted on another forum... No solution I was given has resolved my problem.
I have tried several versions of ToolFix offered by Windows,
System Restore to a previous date (which it wouldn't do for some unknown reason...) ,
I have reset the Windows Update components,
I also ran an SFC scan which found no issues ("Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."),
I renamed the "software..." file or something like that,
I even ran something I hate, which is ADWcleaner
AND despite all this, still nothing.
Here is the link to my old post: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-32198267-mise-a-jour-windows-update#p32205695
Thank you for taking the time to read this rant and for the time you are dedicating to help me.
Oh yeah, also, please disregard the configurations below if there is one! This is a PackardBell PC running Windows 7 SP1.
Configuration: Configuration: HP Pavilion 15 TouchSmart
Windows 8.1 Update 1
Intel inside PENTIUM
Intel Graphics HD
4GB RAM
440GB hard drive
Configuration: Samsung Galaxy A3 / Android KitKat 4.4.4
Configuration: iPad mini / iOS 8.3
Configuration: Macbook Pro OS X Yosemite

Finally, I solved my problem by circumventing it. I used MediaCreationToolx64 which allows me to install Windows 10. Since my computer was not up to date, I did not have Get Windows 10. So I forced the update. I used this utility and everything worked correctly. I solved 2 problems in 1. Getting Windows 10 and updates. There you go. If this can help others. Thanks again for your help.
