Play GTA V Offline

Hello.
This is the first time I'm posting because I can't find solutions anywhere.
After acquiring the game GTA V, I played without a subscription (but I can't remember if my ethernet cable was plugged in or not), then I subscribed to XBOX Live for another game, and then played GTA again without going online.
However, now, when I find myself in a place where I can't connect my Xbox 360 to the internet, a message appears during loading: "Alert: you are not connected. You must connect to save your progress. Would you like to connect?" If I select yes, obviously there's no connection, and if I select no, it sends me back to the beginning of the game and I can't load my saves, which don't even appear. Yet, I distinctly remember having played GTA V in the same spot without a connection before subscribing (after that, I don't know if I started over or not because I had the infamous corrupted save issues of GTA V at that time).
I hope I was clear, as I just reread it, and the story is a bit bizarre. lol
Actually, I just want to play story mode, without a connection, loading my saves.
