Hello,
I am the proud owner of an Epson EH-TW3200 projector that I purchased at the end of 2012.
Three months ago, the lamp (from Epson) burned out, so I turned to online sites to find a cheaper replacement...
Which led me to just buy the bulb!
108 euros... And I had to fiddle for 10 minutes to open the lamp and put it in... Nothing very difficult really...
However, about 2 weeks later, the projector started making noise! Like it repeats "4 notes" (some kind of whistling sound coming from the inside of the device) every 4 seconds! It's not very loud, but we sit less than 1 meter away when watching movies, so during the quiet parts... That's all we hear...
Do you think it could be related to the lamp?! Maybe it's not seated properly?! The age of the projector?! Something else?!
Is there a solution?! Change the lamp?!
Thank you,
Best regards,
CB

Hi, would you have the patience and skill (and the PDF of the service manual) to open your projector and oil the little fans?

Hi. Are you still having the same problem? I have exactly the same issue on my TW3200.

Well, it's one of the things I would tend to check first.
Hello,
I know your post is already old but have you found the source of this noise and a solution? My projector has the same issue...

Hello,
I also have the same problem after changing the bulb,
there's a beeping sound that increases and decreases in intensity but it is incessant and it's becoming impossible to watch TV or anything else on my projector, especially since that's all I have, anyway.
The Epson service is extremely disappointing because since the warranty has expired, they can't do anything or even tell me which part the signal is coming from,
except for me to send it at my own expense, wait a few months without a TV, and then pay to receive something that might not work any better (I read on another forum that after a similar problem, they changed the lamp and it didn't solve the issue at all...)
At €1000 for the projector, I find it quite outrageous.
I tried to disassemble it to find the beeper but it's well hidden under the electronic boards and the more I take it apart, the more risks I take.
But I'm going to have to come to terms with it, it's this or I'm going to go crazy.
If anyone has a clue...
Thank you.
