Hello,
I want to put an iMovie project on a USB stick, but I would like to keep the same quality. Should I export it to QuickTime or leave it in iMovie?
And if I put the iMovie project on a USB stick to use it on another Mac, will I be able to open it?
Thanks in advance!

Configuration: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) / Safari 5.1.9

The problem is that I only have an iMac, so a desktop computer, and I won't be at home during the movie screening; it's for a friend, it needs to be projected via a projector, and I have to put it on a USB drive or at least send it by email or whatever!

In this case, it’s not the project itself that needs to be put on the USB drive, but only the film (the video) derived from the project. The project is only useful for work in iMovie. Once iMovie has finished its work, you need to "Export" or "Share" (depending on the version of iMovie), the video in the format that suits best. Usually in .mp4, the size varies if this video has to be played on an iPhone, iPad, computer, etc.

This way, you can continue to tweak in iMovie later and re-export a finalized new video.

ahhh okay, thank you very much! And for visualization on a wall (via projector), which format should I choose?
Afterward, will I definitely be able to read the video on another Mac rather than mine?

The best quality is the "Computer" or "File" format (depending on the iMovie version), then choose the desired size and quality. The final video file will be in .mp4, so it will be playable on any computer.
