External CD drive that disconnects with a CD

Hello,
I’m contacting you because I’m having a big problem with my external CD reader. So here’s the situation: I recently bought GTA V and when I put the first CD in my external CD reader, the reader disconnects. Let me explain: when I plug in my reader I see it in My Computer and the connection sound of an external device plays, then when I insert the CD the reader spins but disconnects with the disconnection sound of the device.
I have a Lenovo Y50-70 laptop and the external reader is the one provided with the PC.

Do you have any idea how to fix this???
Thank you in advance.

    Hello,
    Find the appropriate drivers.
Or are the USB ports not delivering enough power to the DVD reader..

When I go to Device Manager to update the drivers it tells me they are up to date. However, when I run the troubleshooter it tells me to connect it to a USB 2.0 port, which I did, but it still thinks it’s on a USB 3.0 port.

In that case, update the SHUB USB ;)

Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager > USB Bus Controller (left-click) > RealTek USB 2.0 Card Reader (right-click) > Update driver > Search automatically for updated driver.

      Or alternatively

You start from USB Bus Controller > USB Composite Devices (right-click) and > Update driver.

I even advise you to update them all ^^'

For my case it was USB Composite Device and Windows determined it was up to date—you don’t have any other ideas???
