French version of Photoshop or French pack?

I have read many discussions on forums regarding the French pack to change the language from English to French for the software "Photoshop CS6". My question is: Is it worth paying much more ($150-200 CAD) for the initial purchase of the French version of the software, or once the French pack is installed on the English version, would there not be any significant difference between the two? The price difference still seems quite substantial to me!

    Hello
There is no difference in Photoshop depending on the language; the price difference is due to the exchange rate of the dollar against the euro.
Because of a part of French-speaking Canada, I've seen Photoshop in French on American websites for less, but not as cheap as you mentioned.
As for what you call FR packs, it's not hard to figure out that if they don't come from Adobe, it's illegal, so don't go crying to Adobe if your Photoshop doesn't work.

Moreover, let's not kid ourselves; the vast majority of these methods or translation packs have been made for versions of Photoshop that were not purchased but illegally downloaded.

I hadn't read that you were Canadian
So we find French Canada versions on American sites, starting with Adobe US, I believe

It's in Europe that the price difference is significant due to a euro that's too high compared to the dollar

If you go to this page on Adobe France, you'll see the same Photoshop for €931.20 in French but €811.20 in English

      hi;)
and whether it's France or Canada = most of the time this 'option' is not paid but included, or even 'detected' at installation ... :)
