My PC does not recognize my SD card. Solved

Hello everyone, I'm here because I have a problem, my PC doesn't read my SD card.  When I insert my card, absolutely nothing happens. And when I look in the file explorer, there's no sign of the SD card.  I checked for any issues in the device manager, but I only found an issue with "AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series". However, I don't see how that's related.  My SD card works fine, I've tested it on several computers. I'm convinced the problem is with my PC because I have several SD cards, I've tried them all and none work.  Thanks in advance,

Hello OnTheGround, and welcome to the Forum :)  You have indeed gone over the results of the tests you did. For this reason and since suspect number 1 remains the machine, I suggest you revisit the basic elements: the connectivity.  Does your computer have an SD slot or are you going through an SD card reader?  Initially, if you are using an SD card reader/adapter, you have likely tested other memory cards through this reader ... and none work on this computer. I would suggest testing another USB port or another reader.  I agree with @Papounet17000's suggestion, but it seems to me that if the issue is with the format of the SD card, it would also remain undetected by other PCs.  However, you could take a look at the Device Manager to update the software drivers. Do you see a yellow exclamation mark under Universal Serial Bus controllers? Right-click > "Update driver software". Hello OnTheGround,  Your initial message lets me know that your SD card works well since you tested it on other computers. Furthermore, no other SD card works on your computer. Do you always use the same adapter when testing the SD card on your computer and on other PCs? Does the USB port on your laptop recognize other storage devices (USB flash drives, external HDDs, etc.)? I'm asking you this question because it would be good to eliminate basic causes such as connectivity issues and the condition of the intermediaries through which you connect the SD card to the computers.  @OnTheGround, what version of Windows is on your PC? In Device Manager, you might also check under Disk drives to update the driver software. I suggest, at first, uninstalling the reader from Disk drives (in Device Manager) > right-click on the SD card (the adapter) > click on Uninstall > disconnect the SD card (the adapter) from the USB port > turn off/on the PC (not just a simple restart but unplug the power supply from the PC, then plug it back in and start the PC) > then reconnect the SD card (the adapter).  @OnTheGround, has your PC ever read your SD card? hi OnTheGround  check if it's not a loose connection issue you cut a piece of plastic blister in the shape of the card and insert it at the same time as your SD card placed opposite the contacts  that's what's happening to me with my desktop PC  for a card reader, it's the generic Windows drivers  later no link on a webpage in English, I'm already struggling enough on my own
