Word 2013: Blank pages when saving as PDF Solved

Question

Hello,

I'm calling for help because I've tried everything and I don't understand: I need to print a Word document (paid version 2013 and not cracked), I'm looking to save it as a PDF because I have to get it printed at a printing shop (70-page thesis in color and in 4 copies ...) but here's the thing ... when I save the file as a PDF, I get my title, but ALL the other pages are blank with just the page number!!

This is really a disaster, I also need to send it by email, and for printing, I'm almost sure that if I give it in Word the formatting will be messed up. I want to specify that I regularly do this kind of manipulation, that I'm not completely clueless, and that it works for my other documents. I also want to say that with all the stories of page breaks, sections, linked numbering, and various formatting with a multitude of images, tables, and other not very interesting stuff, splitting the mess into several docx files could take me 15 hours, and potentially half of my remaining hair. So be good: HELP ME, I'm in a panic, I can't find this problem on any forum, is it really just happening to me?!

How it works has never let me down ... it's about my mental health, get me out of here ...

You must certainly work without displaying paragraph markers

if that's the case, show them and see if you don’t have an unnecessary paragraph return at the end of the document that sends you to the next page or a page break

The file created in Word is indeed in .doc format, I am not familiar with this version of Word 2013, however when you save it as a PDF, go into options, select ISO compatibility

or put page n°1 at the end of the document, is the result the same?

Another possibility is that there is something on a page that blocks the PDF export.  Try transforming starting from page 50, for example, or between page 20 and page 30.

Nzaluna, I would have needed to see your file to understand what’s going on.
If your immediate priority is to create this PDF, keep your Word file as it is since it displays well, and try using PDFCreator. It's a virtual printer that you can download for free right here on CCM. https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/bureautique/17257-pdfcreator/
Once installed, go to your Word file, then:
- File / Print and choose PDFCreator which will appear in your list of printers.
- Finally, choose Save (at the bottom right), point to the storage folder, and give it a name.

If you encounter the same issue, and only if, try printing in parts:
- first print page 1, in the prompt, instead of Save, check "queue up"
- go back to your file and request to print the rest of the file from page 2
- You will get a window displaying 2 file lines: select them / then Document / Merge / Then Re Document / Print
