Hello,
I am trying to install the driver for a (new) CANON I-SENSYS MF3010 printer.
Whether from the CD or downloaded from the Canon website, when I try to execute it, I receive the following message: "Unable to start the installation in the current environment; check the installation startup status." Nothing works, not even a previous restore, and I have also run Malwarebytes again.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Mozilla 11.0

Hello,

Your current environment, which is problematic, is your OS, whether it's Windows, Linux, OSX, or whatever??

I guess it's Windows 7...? It comes in 32 and 64 bits.. which one do you have??

It's very likely that you didn't download the drivers that match your version of Windows, check it carefully... maybe uninstall what you installed and reinstall the correct versions... and restart your PC

I note in the documentation that all drivers are only for 64-bit systems... or for 32-bit systems. So you need to choose carefully when downloading.

By the way, your version of FireFox is very outdated... You should update it...

Hello,
I followed the download instructions carefully. Furthermore, the CANON site detects Windows 7, both 32 or 64 bits. There are no errors on that front.
It is indeed the correct driver.
By the way, I don't use Firefox (and I don't even mention it!!)
Thank you for the response, but my issue remains unresolved.
(same message if installation via CD)

Yes, indeed the Canon site detects your OS... as long as you are on the correct machine and not at a friend's place... It's a shame, because I don’t know what else to tell you...

It seems that another site does not do the same... https://www.canon.fr/support/business-product-support/
and you are not the first one...
There is also this option, on the English site...
