Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am reaching out to you because I am struggling with a rather annoying problem.
Not being a computer specialist, I am addressing you.
The issue is as follows: When I use the touchpad on my TOSHIBA computer, it operates randomly. That is to say, during startup, it works fine for about ten seconds, then the pointer freezes, while the page scrolling functions and clicks work perfectly. This is very inconvenient for a portable PC.
I have browsed through some forums but have not attempted the solutions requiring the installation of drivers because, as you may have guessed, I am not very good at computers.
I hope I have been clear enough in my explanations.

Thank you for your assistance.

Chouff11

P.S.: My PC is a TOSHIBA Satellite L50-B-1N2.

    Hello

Have you disabled any programs recently using the MSCONFIG function..?
If so: Recheck the line "Synaptic pointing device Driver"
(or a similar name related to your PAD)

Thank you, Cesel45, for your response. No, I haven't disabled any programs recently; however, I went to check, and I couldn't find any entry corresponding to Synaptic Pointing Driver in the list of services.
Have a great day, and thank you again.
