Hello!
I am playing Cossacks Back to War online, but I can never seem to create a network game. However, I can join an existing game without any issues.

Thank you for your help.

Game version 1.35
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

With the Livebox, what you can do is enable DMZ (demilitarized zone). It exposes your computer to risks, but it works!!!

Oui, mais comment fait-on pour passer ? Ce que tu dis, explique-moi s'il te plaît ? Car j'ai le même problème.

So, it's not difficult at all if you have a Livebox. You just need to go to the address http://192.168.1.1. Click on "Access configuration pages (access reserved, password protected)." Enter admin as the username and admin as the password. Then go to Configuration > Advanced > Router. Scroll down the page until you reach "DMZ Configuration (Demilitarized Zone)." Enter your computer's IP address (if it hasn't already filled in by itself), then click on "set up the DMZ on this computer." And that's it! I advise against leaving it in DMZ without a valid reason. To disable it, go back to the same place and select "Delete the DMZ," and that's it!

Not hard, right? Plus, it works!

The principle of the DMZ is to leave all ports open.

But isn't it possible to open a port specifically for the game?
That would be more sensible.

Yeah, for sure! But the thing is, not many people know about those ports! I had seen them on a site but I can't remember where :s!!

Excuse me, hello,
I would like to know if anyone knows how to play Cossacks on a local network: I tried to set the IP address (the same) on both computers in direct TCP/IP, but my friend can't join my game. I have to admit that I haven't connected any cable or anything, maybe that's the problem! Do I need to connect something? Otherwise, I can see the folders of the other computer via the home network, I thought that would be enough but apparently not. Can you help me? I also wanted to know if my friend should join me while I am creating the game.
Thank you for your help, it will be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Y a-t-il un moyen de créer une partie sans ouvrir les ports (le pare-feu) ?

Hi,

I found your post while searching for the same thing on Google.
Believe me, you’re not the only one with this problem: besides me, 3 out of 5 French speakers I’ve met can’t get it either.

Still, check this out: http://www.infos-du-net.com/forum/209718-7-cossacks-creer-patie-ligne

J'ai compris ce que tu dis, mais il y a aussi le pare-feu. Il faut le mettre comment ? Car j'ai beau le désactiver, ça marche toujours pas.

Non, actually it shows me that the thing is on the computer. I turned off the firewall but I'm still unable to create it. Please explain to me.

Pour ceux qui n'arrivent pas à créer une partie, allez au panneau de configuration puis vous allez ajouter cossack comme exception pour que le pare-feu le libère !

Unfortunately, "HIITLER", it’s not that simple. The problem arises, even with the firewall out of service.
