Hello,
I am running on Windows 7 64-bit and,
a friend introduced me to the game Cossacks European Wars. Not being able to find it in stores, I decided to download the version from someone on the internet. I resolved the graphic issues by running DMRC.bat, everything works well.. I can choose single or multiplayer mode.. but when launching the MAP: "directdraw init failed"
I understand that I need to delete a certain "video" folder, but the folder is non-existent on my end (the guy who uploaded the game must have already deleted it). I have tried everything: switching to 256 colors, changing the screen resolution, setting it to compatibility mode for Windows SP2, installing the ddraw.dll patch.. EVERYTHING! and I still get the same error..
