This topic is very old from what I see, but I pulled out my DS and dove back into The Sims ^^ Anyway, back when I used to play, I found gold ingots super easily, but now, it's impossible to find any. So if any players are still around, I'm taking this opportunity to share an anecdote: When you see a painting with a blue ghost in the shop, buy it, and keep an eye out; you'll see a little blue ghost wandering around the hotel. He'll chat with the customers, and at the same time, drive them crazy.
