Hello,
By default, PowerPoint 2013 cuts off all words at the end of the line in a text box and I can't turn off this option: does anyone know what I can do?
Whether the text is centered, left-aligned, or justified, the problem persists.
Thank you for your help.

Hello,

And it cuts words anywhere, right? Without respect for syllables?

If so, you must have used a downloaded model from a foreign source or created on a system that has an extreme eastern language (Japanese for example) installed or at least declared in the language settings.

In that case, in the text area, the "Paragraph" dialog box displays an additional tab "Asian Typography."
If you have that tab, you will see a checkbox "Allow hyphenation in the middle of a word...".
It is certainly enabled.
Of course, you disable it, but you still need to redefine "default" for the text area to save the paragraph format change.

If that's the case, once disabled, you can remove Japanese if you don't need it.

A small addition: if the model was not created on your system, either you temporarily declare Japanese while you disable the option in the paragraph format (File, Options, Language), or you copy/paste a text area from a classic model and set it as the default.

Thank you very much for your reply!
I didn't have the Japanese language, but after adding it, I indeed found that "Asian typography" tab and was able to solve the problem.

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain the process, we would have never figured it out otherwise!

I have the same problem, but I don’t have the Asian Typography tab in the paragraph dialog box. Is there another explanation for the problem?
Thank you very much!
