Move a phone socket

Hello,

I just moved into a new house. The phone socket is located in the entrance hallway.
My TV, which operates with the LIVEBOX, is in the room across from the entrance hallway.
Currently, the LIVEBOX is sitting on the floor, behind the wall, and the power cable from the LIVEBOX to the phone socket runs across the hallway (very unattractive and dangerous - risk of tripping), and the power cable from the LIVEBOX to the TV is running through the living room (which is equally unattractive and dangerous).

I found the phone cable above the front door; it runs through a conduit to the phone socket (in the entrance hallway).

I want to move this socket.
- make a hole to go through the wall separating the hallway and the living room
- disconnect the wires from the phone socket
- remove the phone socket
- pull the phone cable
- slide it through the hole made in the wall
- reconnect the wires to the phone socket
- mount the phone socket on the wall, near my TV

I would like your opinion before making this move. What risks will I encounter? Will this solution work?

Thank you very much for your responses.

Sophie

easy and no risk, just respect the color of the wires.................

... and think about isolating them (electrically) before grouping them for passage through the wall hole.

Yeah, why not, but I've never isolated during my wiring ...........
if the wires touch, it's like when you pick up the phone, and if it's unbundled, there's no power at the socket anymore!!!

      Hi,
especially since there is a wiring rule, but above all common sense:
cables can be run in any direction, but connections are always made from downstream to upstream, if the power source is upstream.
